I went through this two years ago, cylinder #3 showed minor cracks between valves, ended up purchasing new head castings and had them rebuilt with the factory valves and camshafts, of course the list goes on with what else you replace while you’re in there, but worth it IMO

I honestly never considered getting shock skids as I figured they’re just some bling for the undercarriage, but when doing my last oil change I noticed the rear shock shafts had been getting pelted by debris and rocks which is what prompted me to purchase them

Just installed these bad boys, very well built product, fit like a glove no fighting with lining up the hardware, I seriously doubt these will submit to any rock and I will test it
