wow they look great i thought a 285 was to wide for a factory wheel. of course you can fit the tire on the wheel but most the time they look balloony. (yeah I'm a wordsmith) not the case here... nice.

did you get this all figured out? i have noticed that if you use the "amplified" plug the pin out isn't always correct. i normally pull the factory amp out and use a standard toyota harness. (metra part no. 70-1761 best kit no. BHA-1761)

could be a bad ground or possibly a bad ballast. switch the ballasts between the two and see if the problem moves if it stays i would say the ground.
