I know Houston area has one coming in that's not spoken for. Not sure when it arrives, but as you already know, they go quick. Dealing with the sales folks has been an asswhip. And unfortunately at this time of year, you can't even put in a new order for a rig.
So I've been talking to a Jeep...
What made you go without it? That's kinda where I'm at, I know I can get the red in Premium and then I could just do some suspension mods and it'd be a lot better than stock.
Just looking around, it looks like when the KDSS breaks, it's fairly pricey to fix.
I've also toyed around with maybe...
It's all good. Just researching around it's funny. In some areas/regions people love the KDSS and in others they don't. I'd like to get it, it just doesn't like it's going to happen unless I drive across the country to get it, heh.
Right right. Ultimately the problem is that there are no black or red's with KDSS without having to drive 15-24 hours away. And it's a 5-6 *estimated* wait for an '18. So I'm more or less relegated to getting an Off-Road Premium without KDSS and doing some aftermarket suspension work done.
So the Pro doesn't come with KDSS, so I'm assuming it's going to roll more on the street, no? Doesn't the upgraded suspension components make up for that or not?
My sales guy called and said why not have them just bring in an off road premium in the red and then I could just have the suspension done on my own. How would an aftermarket setup compare to the KDSS? I know the KDSS is a sort of different bird of it's own feather, so it'd be hard to compare...
That's what I did last night. Looked at everything in the DFW area and Houston. I went to UH so I'm familiar with the area. Nada. The Off Road Premium in red w/KDSS is almost the unicorn as the TRD Pro.
I finally got a nice girl in sales at the Toyota in Katy. She was nice and admitted that...
Yeah, this is the problem. There's no way i hell they'll trade a TRD Pro, esp here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area b/c they can sell the TRD Pro in literally a day. There are a couple of Off-Road Premium's in the red but they don't have the KDSS. The thing that is pissing me off with the dealer is...
Is it still 2001 and "Let Me Google That For You" is cool? Quit being a keyboard warrior trying to chase off the new folks. That's not really a cool way to attract/retain people into the community.
I get that it's not an option on the TRD Pro. But when I go to the Toyota website to do a build for either the TRD Off-Road or the Off-Road Premium, there is not an option to do Red, KDSS, and the sliding rear cargo tray. The only option for the KDSS and sliding rear cargo tray is for the white...
That's the hard part, it's hard to say. When I had a Mustang, I swapped out a lot of stuff. With my 2 recent BMW's, I haven't touched a thing... really didn't need to.
I started off wanting something still having 4 doors for easier access hauling the 2 kids around. But I also wanted something...
Yeah, between a few dealerships I think they're all admitting now that they can't order '17's anymore, but don't have the pricing yet for the '18's. It's beyond ridiculous.
Yeah. One in Houston had it on the lot yesterday and it was gone today. Big problem is that they don't even have pricing for the '18's yet so I can't even order one, what a crock.
When I try and configure a Off Road Premium with KDSS, sliding rear cargo deck and Barcelona Red, it's not available. Only in white. So aggravating. lol.
I like the black wheels. I'm coming from having a Mustang & then 2 BMW's, so it's my first venture into the 4Runner game. Primarily was looking to have something that can get me in/out of muddy crap at the gun range. But it'd also be neat to be able to do some level of off roading, and I'm...
