**How To Change 5th Gen Factory Wiper Blade Inserts - Pictorial

Trico 12L (<$5 on Rock Auto) is a direct replacement for the rear wiper blade. Pop the old one off, pop the new one on. Takes maybe 15 seconds if you are slow.

    So you don't buy a 4R for mpg I was told......Rant

Range is more important to me than MPG, personally (although MPG is certainly a factor in that). It's annoying to make a detour to find a gas station and pay $buku/gal in the middle of nowhere. I know jerry/scepter/rotopax cans look cool and all, and show the world that you are a true...

    Dashboard cam?

A few questions for you folks running dashcams: Are you guys running a rear cam too, and how do you have it mounted? I use the rear window a bunch to load stuff in the back so I'm looking for a solution that doesn't interfere with its operation. Do you take down your cams whenever you park...

    Trail hood scoop.

I have owned my 2016 MGM TEP for a year now (18K+ miles) and not once have I been blinded by glare off the scoop. It's sunny in Texas a lot so we came up with these things called sunglasses. You guys who are having problems should try them out sometime.

    2014 Eco Gauge Removal

That's the way my '16 TP is, key fob just works for the F+R driver/passenger door windows. I wish it would also do the sunroof and rear window.

    2014 Eco Gauge Removal

You can turn off the "eco" bar with an app called "Carista" (IIRC you need to buy a $10 one-week pass) and a ~$17 wifi OBD2 dongle...also you can remove the seatbelt chime, allow the windows to be rolled down with the unlock button on the fob, etc.

    Big Bend

You can carry a firearm into Big Bend NP (and SP, for that matter), you just cannot discharge it. Now, if it does come to that I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. https://www.nps.gov/grca/learn/management/upload/Firearms-in-IMRparks2-2010.pdf Not to mention the fact that if you're...

    Big Bend

Black Gap is a cakewalk now. They concreted in the rocks on the approach; used to be that you had to stack rocks (and then unstack them) if your rig wasn't up to the challenge. Old Ore road is good too. Next time you are out there take the time to head over to the state park. It is way more...

    Gun safe

Bolt your safes down, folks. A couple in our neighborhood had their house broken in to by pros, who carted off with their gun safe inside of 10 minutes while the wife went for a walk with their baby. Luckily the neighbor across the street got it on camera and a different neighbor wrote down...

    Gun safe

I own an American Security ("Amsec") BF6032HD. It is the biggest gun safe I could fit in my place (narrow doorways are a curse). My advice would be to get a safe bigger than what you think you need, get a safe with a really good fire protection rating, and bolt your safe to the floor. An RSC...

    Saving for the future.

I keep a year's worth of expenses liquid in a savings account, in addition to maxing out my 401k contributions, IRA/Roth, brokerage account, and other investments I keep so much liquidity because I work in an industry where layoffs are sudden and can last a long time. Need to have a bunch of...

Anyone else running metal tech's bumper?

I like the looks of the MT bumper. It fits the lines of the truck really well in my opinion and it exposes a ton of the front of the tire. Only drawbacks as I see it are the lack of a center/headlight hoop and the non-optional light bar cut out.

    Driver controlled window lock question

:pound: I have the same issue OP. I lock my windows because I usually lay the back seats down and have the dogs in the back during road trips. But this means I can't control any window except my own. Every vehicle I've had with a window lock hasn't worked like that, and has allowed the driver...
