No, it was not wet or smell like gas. But I can pull it again and double check. New plugs and new wires and I also swapped the coil pack with another one and the miss stayed with #6 cyl. What else could stop spark from getting to the plug?

On my 98 its on the inside of the frame under the drivers door. I think I had to take the skid plate off to get at it easier? Or maybe it was behind a plastic shield? But its under the drivers door.
