    Factory amp location?

Hello Richard! Wow, it’s been over 13 years since the last reply on this thread. I just spent a long time reminiscing about the memories of when my 4Runner was new and the backup camera, wood steering wheel swap, and the iPod adapter I installed. Since the last time I replied to this thread...

Dynamic Mounting TV Mount (and 4Runner Beach Photo)

Hi 1blink, I can see how you would feel that way. I hope you can see that from my point of view if I wasn't genuinely excited about this product I would not have taken the time to take good photos to share. Why ruin the integrity of my forum status that I've been a part of for 11 years over a...

Dynamic Mounting TV Mount (and 4Runner Beach Photo)

Hopefully this is okay to post in off topics. We've always had a hard time figuring out where to mount our TV since the mantle is so high and were afraid of hurting our necks. Just installed this awesome mount that allows you to pull the TV down from the wall and and over in front the fireplace...

Are 03 and 04 Nav Units the Same?

No because I have separate headunit display and ecu is in the back. It'll only cost me $500 to replace the headunit. The all-in-one unit costs much more. I did add the backup camera to my headunit as there is a plug-n-play port in the back. From your description of the 3 types of systems, sounds...

Are 03 and 04 Nav Units the Same?

I'm trying to order a replacement headunit for my 03's navigation from partznet.com. The part number they come up with when they look up my VIN is for a 2004 nav unit (part # 86120-35241). I suppose my 03 4Runner could've had an early 04 nav unit installed at the factory, but I just want to make...

    Need an amp for Navigation

Hi T4RUSAF, Still haven't heard from you regarding the amp. Are you still interested in selling it? I located a refurbed one through the local dealership but I'm waiting on you to see if I can save some money. Thanks.

    Weird JBL Glitch

Looked at the amp. Confirmed there's power and audio signal going in, and no audio coming out so 99% sure the amp is blown. It exhibited symptoms similiar to what people described above for a few months before now being completely dead. The symptoms started around 40k miles on my 2003. But it...

    Factory amp location?

Yes, unfortunately you have to remove the rear quarter panel. But the good news is it only took me roughly 20 min. to disassemble it. I think those directions allowed a lot of padded time. Using a rachet wrench with a #10 socket is much faster than using a plain wrench. (btw, the bolt holding...

    Factory amp location?

You want to open the amp?? Or do you mean you want to open the rear quarter panel so you can have access to the amp? If the latter, look at this: http://www.castulucci.com/projects/carpc/oemnaviecuaccess/ I just used it to remove my amp..

    Weird JBL Glitch
