Unhappy with the EP35 LED Flasher Relay

Agreed! I used led's for my front turn signal lights after building my tube bumper. I ordered a simple pair of resistors for like $10 from Diode Dynamics and wired them in. No hyper flash issues what so ever and still running stock bulbs in the rear.

**DONE!!!!!**1988 SAS build - need advice for beginning

Looking good man! I know that feeling of getting that axle hung. It's that sense of accomplishment after dealing with all the BS cutting and grinding that has to be done before you can start slapping on the new goodies. Can't wait to see the finished product!

^^^what KidV said. I too will say that you'll be fine running it like that. Almost every solid axle I've built showed similar contact from the birf. Now stop worrying about it and get it done already! :biggrin1:

That's pretty much what I do. I just cut it even with the face of the frame then weld a strip of flat bar to box it off.

So true! I'm running 5" HD's on my 3rd gen with the 3.4 and I hate them. I assumed that with my engine weight that they would be pretty soft after break in but I was wrong. They have softened up a bit and settled a little but still not even close to my liking. As soon as I got the cash I'm...

    slowpoke99's super slow timeline/build thread

Yes indeed! The timing couldn't be better as I'm getting all the parts together to finish the axles for my sons build.

    slowpoke99's super slow timeline/build thread

So a coworker of mine picked up a parts truck from a friend of his to get his '88 2wd pickup put back together. Well, in the bed of it was a solid axle out of an '84/85. He had no use for it so he offered it to me for $200. At first I said no cuz it was missing the manual hubs (really the only...

    EatonKyleH's Build Thread

That's awesome man! I remember you mentioning the deal you and the wife made. I'm excited for you. You're gonna love how much better it wheels. I've had my duals done for about a month or so now. Haven't been out to wheel it hard yet but I got a few trips in the planning stage right now. But I...

    Seattle Area Maintenance and Meet

You are correct on how pipe/tube is measured. Although I have seen some amazing things done with a harbor freight tube kinker with a little modification done to it. I have a bender and I'd love to help out but I only have an 1.5" and 1-5/8" dies.

    Rear Axle Failure Question

You can say that again! Cost me the rear housing but luckily it held enough to get me back to my trailer. Been considering a full floater kit myself but like Nevada said, I'd probably go tons instead.
