Late to the thread, but yes, the FJ caps do fit on the 17 x 7 4Runner wheels.

Well, turns out it was an issue with the starter and an aftermarket alarm the dealer had installed as a lot theft deterrent. It just happened to act up the first time I tried to start the 4Runner after installing the CAI. Alarm is gone and all is good!

I'm leaning fuse. I thought about the coincidental starter issue as well. I appreciate all the input. I'll report back when I know the issue.

Well, I've tried everything I can think of, so now I am assuming there's a code preventing it from starting. I guess the dealer will have to sort it out. What a hassle!

Thanks, guys! No luck. Removed the harness, and hooked everything up without it. Same result. Won't crank or nothing. Ugh! Tried to reset the ECU, no love.

It doesn't crank. Everything lights up on the dash. Maybe I'll cut into the loom and ditch the harness. What a bummer!

Thanks for the reply. I did reconnect the battery terminal. The MAF is oriented correctly. I didn’t cut the loom, as I decided to use an MAF harness extension instead. I wonder if something is wrong with the harness. Perplexing situation!

Hey, all. Looking for a little help. I just installed a TRD CAI on my 2020 4Runner TRD Off Road and I cannot get the thing to start. I’ve checked everything over multiple times... Clueless. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
