    Ah, okay I guess I misunderstood. I thought you were using eyebolts and strapping the boards lengthwise, which is what I want to do. It looks like you're strapping the boards width-wise, which works with the smiley thingies. Thanks for the clarification!

    I noticed in another post somewhere you had a photo of your traction board mounting and it looked like you were using eyebolts of some kind. Would you mind describing what you did there? I just bought a Sherpa rack and they don't make it easy to mount 'off-brand' boards without drilling holes...

    I concur with everyone else ... Greenlane is super responsive to emails and their packaging/shipping is first rate. And FYI, last year they held a Black Friday sale. I don't remember what the discount was, but IIRC it basically paid for shipping.

    I just installed some Greenlane sliders on my 5th gen. Although they're called sliders, I think of them more as "rocker guards" because of the questionable strength of aluminum vs. steel. This suits me just fine though - in my case I often encounter situations where I risk hitting the rocker...

    So did you take the ferry from Port Angeles or is there a car ferry to Victoria from Seattle? I am thinking of doing the same thing to avoid shipping cost and possible shipping damage (unless this Group Buy thing is happening)
