    LED exterior illumination question

I did exactly what gaterose did with the LED strips except I put mine under my running boards and wired them into the running board lights. that way they go on/off with the doors opening/closing. they look super cool and have held up well so far, almost 2 years now with plenty of water, mud...

    How to: Replace JBL Subwoofer

Yes, you'll have to grind/punch out the plastic webbing inside the box in order to mount almost all aftermarket subs. It's not that hard to do, just takes a little patience and time!

    Aftermarket stereo whining

first I'd try turning down the bass level through the HU, not sure if you've tried that or not. It's a fine line between how much bass you want and actual speaker volume output. my second thought, initially, is the RCAs being run alongside the power wires, but sounds like that is not the case...

    Hardwire Escort Radar

I hardwired my 9500ix in my 05 limited, it was very easy. the hardest/most time consuming is hiding the wiring for a clean look. I tapped into the cigarette lighter (+) wire and grounded it to a random bolt near the shifter. I ran the wire under the driver's side panel and up the A-pillar...

Anyone towing an enclosed car trailer with the V8

I towed a fully loaded 6'x12' trailer with my 05 V8 with no issues. With everything you plan on doing, I doubt you'd have any issues with pulling that size trailer.

    Dashboard orange lights :(

Does anyone know the bulb # for the heated seat piece, which I assume is the same as the bulb for the DAC control piece that fits into the blank spots behind the shifter? I'm looking to do the cupholder lights (#74), shifter light (#74 or a LED strip), and heated seat light and also the rear...

    recommendations/opinions

If you're concerned with aesthetics, I wouldn't go over 1.25" on the BL so you won't "see" through the frame and the body. Personally, trucks with larger body lifts look like trash.

Gas saving or more $$$ spending

Probably saving your money is the best bet. If you're itching to buy a new air filter the only one I recommend is the AFE drop in filter (dry). It's cheap and doesn't use oil so you won't have to worry about clogging your MAF sensor. No point in buying a cold air intake or anything like that.

Replaced JBL Sub/Added Amp: Install Pics/Info

you may want to try some dynamat. I did a similar swap here, but used a jl8w3 and put my amp under the passenger seat. I put dynamat around the box and inside of the back panel that covers the amp/sub in the trunk. It has helped and many other guys on here have done the same thing.

    Help with interior led swap

Toyota 4Runner Interior 5k LED Lighting Conversion This link should help ^^ I followed it to do my interior/exterior LED swap and it worked very well. I went with VLEDS.com to get my stuff. I didn't use a panel for the middle dome light, but rather a normal LED bulb and it's plenty bright...

    wire splice taps

I haven't used the ones you posted but the one below is what I've used for a few applications. They come in different sizes at radio shack. They work pretty well and I haven't had any complaints with them. I like them because you don't have to worry about soldering to use them. Hope that...
