    I don't know where this plug goes

    I will post a picture shortly. I do know (now) that the knock sensors come together and this is the plug that goes to both knock sensors. As I said it comes from the top end of the motor, out the back by the firewall. I'll post a pic as soon as I get off work.

    Dum Dum... Wired the coil packs to the wrong cylinders when I put the heads back together. That mystery is solved.

    OK... Misfire on cylinders 4 & 6. They weren't building compression. Rebuilt heads. Compression now okay. Still misfire. If you pull the plug wire on either cylinder it makes no difference in the way the engine is running. So it seems like I'm running on 4 of 6 cylinders. Put new spark plugs...

    I put on rebuilt heads yesterday. 96 4Runner Limited, 5VZ-FE motor. There is one triangular shaped plug coming out of the back of the motor near the firewall. It's the only one I cannot find a plug for. It comes from the back sort of near where the water bypass pipe heads toward the firewall...

    I've got a new (to me) '96 4Runner limited. The battery light was coming on intermittently. It was only coming on when it was hot outside. The A/C is always on when the light comes on as well. I got home, checked the voltage and it was 13.8. I thought if the battery was getting enough voltage...
