I have a 2001 4 Runner with the same problem
Here is my solution. I am going to disregard it. I put a bungee cord from the roof top carrier across the hatch and let it go at that. I refuse to bring it to a Toyota dealer for obvious reasons. (I don't have the money) in case you cannot guess...
Another Dead Speedometer 2001 4 Runner!
Not the fuses or the lines but down to "sensors" either ABS Sensor or Vehicle speed Sensor. Been looking at salvage yards but they have to know. Am I on the right track?:lookout:
