lets see......its shaped like a brick, is severely under powered, and needs a different trans. my sister has an 09 tahoe with the 6.2 that gets better mpg's and obviously has no issues with power. the 4runner needs a v8. unfortunately those days are over.

In 30 years of ownership your only issue is POTENTIALLY a head gasket, and your faith is broken in Toyota?? Don’t get too worked up yet. Get it diagnosed and go from there.

i'm also having a very hard time believing some of these numbers. i always view forum members reported mpg's with skepticism, not just here but every board i've been on. it seems to be a subject that people always feel this need to inflate for some reason.

This is not true. A GOOD body shop can match metallic finishes and done right, neither you nor anyone on here would be able to tell. I will say finding a good body shop is not a painless process but they are out there.

Pretty useless sitting on the ground like those posted but Id like to see TRD do a v8 powered 2wd runner lowered with bigger brakes. A competitor to the srt Durango perhaps?

When will the revised front coils for the pro be available? Will they still be offered in red? If I remember correctly they will now be 2” instead of 1”, what will this do to ride/handling on road? Thanks

i have. and here in the pacific northwest it can be hard to tell if i made it to the grocery store or ended up at the overland expo with all the jeeps and 4runners that look like they are prepped for end of the world scenarios

don't know the height difference but overall they are pretty useless as steps. my wife is 5'6 and i'm 6'1, neither of us find the step placement to be particularly useful. they look good though which is probably why so many 4runners have them. i would try finding a set on a vehicle you can look...

kind of like the 4runners i see around town with a snorkel, jerry cans, roof top tent, auxiliary lighting, etc. i assume inside there is a survival pack, snake bite kit and a fire extinguisher fastened with paracord and carabiners. screams image issues........although you can never be too...
