That is where they installed my Pioneer Mic plus the head unit also has a builtin mic.

I got some added features like actual vehicle tire pressure and various other engine and battery info by changing out the HU. I haven't changed out the speakers but they sound better for now.

Sorry for the late reply. I actually had a shop install it but the first couldn't get the back camera to automatically come on when placed in the reverse. So i went to another and they ran a line to a fuse as a trigger and it worked. I built it on Crutchfield but bought the systems and parts on...

It does not mirror. Apple CarPlay does a better job not sure about android since I don't have an Android. But the apps must be car play compatible. Today I found out that you can even turn off your alarm from the radio when using CarPlay. I'm sure there is a lot more but I haven't discovered as yet.

Hope the pics post. Installed the Pioneer Avic-8200NEX didn't lose the safety connect and now I can see what my tires pressures are. Overall satisfied just got to play with it some more.

I was about to have my PioneerAvic8200Nex installed using the radiopro4 when I asked the installer if it would affect the safety connect feature of my 2012 4runner limited. He didn't know since everything they found pointed them to the radiopro4. The box however does not even address the safety...

I got my HU a Pioneer AVIC8100NEX for $804 on Amazon and all the wiring etc. According to the installer it won't affect the Safety connect but we will see. Getting install in about a week. I will let you know.

I agree with the after market route. I am just looking for info as to if it would affect the safety connect function etc. I have had my radio stop playing before and my rear camera stay on both required a vehicle restart .

What year is your vehicle? Ok i just saw it was a 2014. I was thinking of maybe swapping my entune out for a 2016 model or aftermarket all together? Have you tried going into the setting and deleting the phone and reconnecting? What is puzzling me is why you maps are acting up. Bluetooth is...

I had a similar issue with my iPhone 6plus and my Entune. I had to restart the vehicle off each time to get it to connect. That is the only solution I have found. Luckily it is not a regular occurrence.

I want to change out the Entune stereo out of my 2012 4runner with an aftermarket receiver with Apple carplay. I for one am tired of the outdated Entune system and I am not paying to get new maps because atleast with carplay it uses my phone maps. However I don't how replacing Entune will affect...
