On a lighter note, on a 2012 TE w/ KDSS, the mirror connector has only 2 wires, blue (+) and white w/ black (GND). Wiring an Escort SmartRadar involved pushing in the appropriate wires into the back of the connector and securing with a plastic shim to hold tightly. 10 minutes total. Held up...
