Better Late Than Never Build Thread

My TRAC and DRL mod switches were looking a bit tatty and I always wished they lit up so a little upgrade was in order. This kinda thing wasn't even available, at least that I knew of, when I put these in 20 years ago.

USB cable routing from cig lighter to magsafe

I ended up running the cable under the console and up and out of the AC vent where the magsafe mount attaches. Easy peasy. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

USB cable routing from cig lighter to magsafe

This has to have been covered, but searching isn't bringing up anything. Got a new magsafe holder for my cell phone and it clips to the AC vent. USB cable for power runs from a plug in the cigarette lighter but I hate random cables. How are you guys hiding/routing cables like this? First...

    JoeT4R’s 2001 SR5 Build & Maintenance Thread

Fram is the only oil filter I've ever had fail in my life. Just a heads up. Purolator Pure One pretty cheap and good quality. Check it out.

    Brillos Builds

I guess I'm surprised that the housing to basically container of oil could rust through. Wow.

    Brillos Builds

Glad to see you still plugging a long. Mine's doing great, no real updates just driving. I am planning to take it to a local car show Saturday night.

Thanks! Yes, I had an upholstery shop put the new leather in and they replaced foam where they felt it was needed.

Better Late Than Never Build Thread

After over a year and many thousands of miles the quick CV boot repair started to weep a bit, so I figured I'd install the TrakMotive xtended travel axles I've had sitting under the work bench. I found this to be pretty easy actually. <iframe width="560" height="315"...

    Extended/High articulation CV Axle

Update on my deal. Finally got around to installing the Trakmotive high articulation axles this weekend. Pretty easy. I started off trying to use a dead blow hammer to get the first axle in and got no where. In frustration I just gave it a hard shove and "plunk" it dropped in. Go figure...

    Extended/High articulation CV Axle

Well, made a quick repair back in April and shockingly it's lasted ever since, over 7 months and many thousand miles. Shoe Goo and silicone tape. I did order the high articulation axles, they're sitting under my work bench lol. I'll replace them eventually.

Finally had a CV issue after almost 20 years lifted. May have happened anyway. A quick field repair has lasted over 7 months and many thousand miles. I'm shocked. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RLRp8l4eQKI?si=jniVx1YLjWxjSXYp" title="YouTube video...

    Jerod's Supercharged T[u]RD Build

Very satisfying. I did mine last year and now just wipe the engine bay down every wash to keep it looking like new.

I'm no longer receiving email updates to threads I'm sub'd to as well. Just FYI.

Better Late Than Never Build Thread

Driving to Mom's Sunday going over bumps I heard a bang bang and felt a jar in the cab. Inspection showed one of my Energy Suspension front sway bar brackets that hold my Addco sway bar had broken in glorious fashion. No idea how, but it basically shattered on the front edge and bent down...
