Also keep in mind, if you're not able to park your car in a garage, having a taller car means it's easier for jerks to steal your catalytic converter... I've read about people getting their's stolen in front of their driveway, or even at the mall parking lot. Just food for thought

I don't think the ride quality is harsh at all, and I have practically no added weight in the back during my day-to-day driving. It's stiff, but it has give/cushion.
