Registering used out of state vehicle in Cali

There’s also a rule about under 7500 miles (iirc - double check the number) you have to pay CA sales tax to register in CA. Otherwise people would buy out of state vehicles to avoid sales tax. You might look at this seriously as there were scams to fly and buy motor homes out of state, drive it...

4runners with KDSS but without sunroof

I don’t want a moonroof because I’d like to use the location for an NMO antenna mount. Otherwise the antenna moves back and interferes with the rack location, or I have to place the antenna in a non-ideal spot - like the hood. Unfortunately all the ORP’s I’ve seen have moonroofs.

Nice vehicle, nice platform! How long is the total sleeping platform? I’ve always forgotten to bring my tape measure with me when shopping at dealers, and it looks like it isn’t close to accommodating my 6 feet. Unless maybe diagonally?

Aluminum Rear bumper with Rigd Tire swing out? Thoughts?

Trailed Online tanks are FDA approved for drinking water. But near the bottom their web page says “These tanks are NOT certified for fuel storage and voids all warrantee and return claims.” Are people using them for gas successfully?

    Post Your Camper

I simply can't imagine pulling a 6000lb 30ft travel trailer with a 4Runner. Even a V8 version! Maybe if you live in flatlands, and don't have to chug up and down mountains like we do in California. Or visit Colorado mountains... I've towed a 16footer with a 350ci V8 in a Suburban, and that...
