about 3 weeks to a month. it progresivily got worse with every week. at first it was 1 or 2 clicks then 5 and then it took about 5-10 mins to start and then finally it wouldnt start at all.

thats what was happening with my 4runner until one day i just couldnt get it to start. the problem was the starter and i had to get a new one.

i dont know if anyone else has had this problem but i hear a clicking sound coming from some where underneath my 4runner whenever im rolling to a stop. it started happening about 8 months ago and its very annoying. Any ideas on what it could be?

did he beef up the front suspension to handle the extra 200 pounds? i know a few people who put 5.7L chevy V8's into there 4runners and there beasts.

does anyone know appr. how much labor will cost to swap my 3.0 with a 3.4? the mechanic will have everything for the swap (full kit and engine) also how much would it be for a mechanic to install a trd supercharger? i just dont want to get riped off.

thanks for the advice. i guess i'll do the 3.4L swap with a trd s/c. will i need to get a different trans? also, im going to need a shop to do all the work. does anyone know of any reputable shops and about how much it costs? i know the kit is around $2200.

4.7L V8 does anyone know about swapping the 3.0L V6 engine for a 4.7L V8 from a tundra? i heard about a swap using a lexus V8 and i know the 3.4L V6 is a common swap. i just want a reliable and powerful V8 engine in my 95' with as little fabraction as possible. any help would be greatly...

ya, mine was a turd too. when i get a more powerful engine i will throw some bigger wheels on again.

when i bought my 95' 2wd 4runner it had 33x12.5 tires and stock gear ratios. besides the sucking up the fuel, i had to get my transmition replaced after 5 months. i think the engine is too weak to run big tires on a already heavy 4runner. i sold my tires and im running on stock tires now.
