I installed the Bilstein 5100 all the way around and am running the struts one notch from the top. Also have 265/70/17 Hankook Dynapro's with Spidertrax spacers. Love the look and ride but am currently looking for some FJ springs to swap out and get another inch or so.

I had the same issue on mine, both sides torn, one completely separated. Honestly I would pull both and swap. Toyotas design of the LCA with the two bolts to disconnect it makes the job a lot easier than most. I dont know youre comfort level but its actually a pretty easy job. With that being...
