I had to have some spots on my roof fixed recently---after Safelite f-ed up a window replacement (like 4K worth of damage)---a certified Toyota Collision shop removed a couple dents, repainted parts of the roof and did some internal welding of the window frame. Looks like it never happened.

Thanks--what were your concerns with the RCI attachments? Just trying to justify the additional $400. I will primarily be carrying an SOT kayak that weighs around 80#'s. My biggest concern is wind catching underneath and causing vibration at the front of the rack where it basically just sits...

Any additional feedback on Sherpa v. RCI roof rack?

I wrote a personal check in Louisville, KY for my '21. Actually, I put the maximum allowed by law on a Credit Card just to get some points (paid it off immediately) and the balance was check.

As others have said--duct taped worked very well for me. I rolled it (with the sticky side in) to a bit larger than the bulb. Then placed it over the bulb and twisted the end of the tape so that it tightened around the bulb. Pretty easy to get out after that.

I have not. Looking at a pic of the part on eBay, it looks like no modification is necessary as the part is round behind the plate. I may look around at other aftermarket USB options. It doesn't particularly look "stock" as it sits in front of the dash rather than inset as the data port USB...

I was concerned about the same thing but gave it a try--my 13' SOT did just fine. I put a pad on the rear of the rack which actually gave me 3 supports for the rack rather than 2. I drove 7 hours, much of it at highway speeds, with no issues---I might feel differently if I still contended w/AZ...

I have a '21 TRD Pro which has heated mirrors but no turn signal or puddle lamps. I am assuming that it is not pre-wired but does anyone know for sure?
