No bias on my end. I only have 1,500 miles on them and only had that one incident. I love the way they look, they are quiet, and they don't seem to hurt mpg too much since I get 21-22 on the highway. The bias seems to be from people who have a need to defend a tire from any bad remarks. So Gay

I too have a '97 with a squeaky clutch. What do you think is causing yours and what parts are you planning to replace? A whole clutch kit?

I have a black 1997 5-speed with almost 204,000 on the original clutch. I will probably replace it in the next 10,000 miles.
