Well around here you don't get a lot of days that you open a roof but when you do get a good one it's damn nice to have. It's one of those things that has always been an EEWWWW no sun roof thing. You can add a locker just try adding a factory sun roof. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Well if all of the other functions work correctly it's still good for everybody to know that the later switch will function in the earlier Runners. Makes a trip to the pick N pull easier.

So the later model switch works in the earlier runner. For 2000 the switch has stuff built in that makes the headlights turn off when the door opens after the key is off. Did you get that feature with the switch install?

You might have talls in there now. It looks taller lhan my 2000. Better check.

If the last collar and ABS tone ring are on too far they must be cut off and replaced. Not cheap parts.

I'm curious about the lexus headlight switch. I have a 2000 SR5 I'm going to add fog lights to and I have the same switch from a 2000 Camry as a donor. Was the switch plug and play? What happens with the lights when the switch is in the auto position?

The gear oil can actually infiltrate the bearing washing the grease out. This is why the bearings are supposed to be replaced. grease is far thicker than oil. The seals on the bearings are not oil seals.

Even if the bearings were pristine gear oil will have leaked through the bearing washing away the grease leading to eventual failure. While oil is passing through the bearings they continue to receive lubrication and can last for years but not indefinitely. You might be able to pop the plastic...
