You need to "shave" the led bulb. That will give you better distribution of light. I did an led conversion on my honda and it came out great. Still thinking if i want to tangle with the 4runner.

I got a non ipod 06 HU from a guy on scionlife and he included a wire to connect the Aux plug. He wired the connector in the back with enough wire to run it into my center console. I cut a hole and snapped in the aux plug. It works great with my MP3 player. Is that what you guys are talking...

What about an 05 hu and will the cd slot still work or will the ipod take the place of the cd slot?

I cant really tell, but for this to work you need the headunit that is ipod ready, or does this work with the standanrd 06 scion hu? thanks for your help
