Thanks alot. I haven't heard a lot about the BFG's but i do notice how popular they are around here. So they must be a decent tire if so many people have them. Anybody know anything about the Firestone Destination A/T's? He really likes the look of them but I haven't heard anything about them...

Currently my Dad is running stock sized Mastercraft Courser A/T's, and HATES them. He's been through 2 winters with them and in the snow it's like skating on ice. They're rated at 40k mile tires and he has about 55k on them, that's the only good thing about these things. I'm wondering...

Mine will open when it wants to, like while driving and will also sometimes be able to pull it free as you state above. And it will also sound like it is going to open but wont, like the OP said. Will buying the new assembly fix this???
