    Power antenna fix with pic's

Just FYI, this place has OEM antennas for fantastic prices! For 84 and newer 4Runners and presumably trucks as well. Just pick your year. I just got mine from them, installing it tonight. 4 Runner Antenna Year Selector

New steering linkage kit advice for the 1991

I've had bad luck with Moog on my 4runner. I've taken it all off, and even had a pitman arm, inspite of verifying many times that it was indeed the correct part number, would not fit at all. Called up NAPA and they got me one that fit on just perfectly. Also Moog seems to wear out fast. Took it...

1st Gen - Rear Window Key Cylinder Stopped Turning Left (Up)

Yeah mine is the same way. IT still works though if I put the key in then back it out just a hair width, then it works fine. I'm so used to it now I do it quickly and without much jiggling. Mostly I just load up and use the inside switch though.

    radiator replacement

I recently replaced the original in my 92 also and I'm glad I did. The radiatior shop tested it out and it was really bad. It was all brittle and not repairable. It all appeared to be fine in the truck but I just had a feeling that I should get it checked out. They can get rotten. So the shop...

Found a 91 with bad HG. 158k miles. Need advice.

The 3.0 mechanically is a remarkably reliable engine. Some guys have head gasket problems, and it is somewhat a design issue, but this engine will last a long time but it needs to be maintained and well taken care of. If you want big tires, a lift, and then rock crawl and tow a trailer up...

    Giro's 92 V6 odds and ends

Your on the right track with the shifting issue. The two most common problems with shifting in these is the plastic shifter bushings, and the clutch petal bracket cracking and then flexing too much, not allowing enough travel to shift properly. Mine went out pretty fast. Some guys report a bit...

    Pick's 2nd Gen Build Thread

That LC looks in great shape! Nice find, I hope it works for you. I fit in my 92 4Runner fine, being a bit shorter than you are. And the 22 MPG I get on the highway beats the heck out of the 13 my buddy got in his 80 series LC on the same stretch of highway. But the LC is incomparable. I'd buy...

    Highest Mileage Engine Competition!!!

Just hit 300,000 miles on the 92 4runner. 3.0 Manual trans. Head gasket done during recall, other than that, just regular maintenance. Runs really well still! Everything is tight, drives nice. Parts of front susp and steering redone.

    1992 4runner build

Yeah dang, I thought I was crazy starting my project with a '92 with 280,000 miles on it. You got me beat! My build is going to be a tad milder than yours. I'm not lifting, but going with lockers, bumpers, winch and sliders probably. I already did the manual hubs. I'm going more for the...

    3.0L timing belt question

Nope. They are non interference. I just recently changed mine. It's time consuming but not bad. Wobbly extensions are your friend.

    91 4runner 3.0 throwing belts

Hey Willy, Sounds to me like a classic case of pulley's not being in alignment with one another. You might want to double and triple check that the pulleys align perfectly, or at higher RPM's the belts tend to fly off. Make sure your alt, PS, A/C compressor, etc are all mounted properly with...
