Thanks guys for the feedback. I did a short test at the battery terminals w/ a multimeter and it turns out the reading from the headunit is off by -0.4. So I guess the VB is working as expected.

Yes, you will need to take off the rocker panels to install the sliders. It's really simple to do, just a few bolts down there - no cutting necessary. You can add additional trim pieces if you'd like, but I think it's looks fine w/o, especially with the angled version.

I think this is the most important question. Are you ok being unhappy w/ your wheels? If it's not a big deal, keep them and save up to get what you want.

As other have said, shop around, but pre-facelift Trails (10-13) are harder to come by and tend to ask for a premium. If you prefer the look over the 14+, I'd say bargain down and if the price is right, go for it!
