I turned it in to the dealership today. They let me walk away from the lease for free. It will be at Durango Toyota if anyone is still interested. The sales manager claimed he's going to list it for $34,900 which is a crazy fair price if that's true.

UPDATE: The lease buyout is less than I thought. The Runner can be purchased for $32,184.

I'll actually be returning to Cortez on Saturday. I'm in Page for a work related training for 2 weeks. Grand Staircase was a nice drive. The dirt roads were surprisingly well maintained. I only had to use 4X4 twice. I actually wish the roads were a little more challenging. I entered at Big Water...
