OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

For the money, I would go with a full Toytec Aluma 2.0 or Icon Stage 1 setup. The BP51 set up is expensive and for the money you can get a better straight out of the box front and rear system. I have run OME, Icon and Toytec, and they all have their good and bad points. Icon and Toytec are easy...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

These are adjustable like Icon or Toytec. Yes you can increase the preload but you have to use a spring compressor. ARB does not recommend adjusting. I dont,t think BP51's are your best choice for what you are trying to do.

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

The BP51 is preset and does not have height adjustment. You can adjust the compression and rebound, but that is all. I ran them on my 4th Gen with a V8 and winch bumper. They were too low in the front. I tried a 1 inch spacer but it limited the down travel off road. On the highway pulling my RV...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

After several attempts to get the ride height level, I added a one inch Daystar spacer. I also backed off the pre-load from the maxed out position in an earlier attempt to level the vehicle. The end result is I now have it within 1/4 inch front to back height difference and it looks so much...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

I am running heavy rear, but the ride isn't too harsh. They are the same height as mediums anyway and when loaded down and trailer hooked up it doesn't squat down to much. The real issues I have with them is the front sits too low on a 4th Gen. I have them at Max height and unfortunately even...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

Reinstalled the BP51 front coils today. Maxed out the spring adjustment and still sits kinda nose down, but much better than it was. OME always sits a little lower in the front compared to ICON or some of the others. The ride quality is great and that is what really counts. Can't wait to get it...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

Update....had the BP51's on now for a about 7500 miles. They are dialed in pretty good for daily driving comfort, but I will admit I hate the rake look and feel. My ICONS were easy to adjust the front to level them out without removing the assembly and it rode good. The BP51's you have to pull...

4th Gen BP-51 installed Just added the BP-51 suspension to my 4th Gen. Been running ICON Stage 1 setup for a few years, but wanted to try this new BP-51 setup. It's awesome. Rear Front

I nominate TOY2G Not only is nathan a good friend, but he wheels his rigs, adn he has helped me out more than one time in a tight spot. I like when cool rigs are used for cool things, adn his runners have been to Ouray, Gilmer, Moab, and even a little on the west coast. Nathan built and...

    Slip Yoke caused my vibration....

I know there has been a lot of talk lately about drive shaft issues and the new TSB that just came out. My problem wasn't with the "Thump" that most have been dealing with. If this has been covered before, I missed it. I have been fighting a vibration at 50-70 mph ever since I put my new Icon...
