Toyota 4runner frame rust being looked at by feds

I actually bought a frame rust 01 Tacoma when I worked at Toyota and did the frame replacement. It was an awesome deal. Toyota replaced the frame, lower control arms, leaf springs, brake lines as well as all of the hardware. I ended up doing the timing belt, water pump, and accessory belts...

    V8 starter click, click VOOORRROOOOOOMMMM!!

Replace the starter contacts. Getting the starter out is the hard part, but if you call your Toyota dealership you can get the two contacts for cheap.

    Calling all detailers

Yeah, I'd go random orbital with a meguiars micro fiber cut pad and meguiars 105 compound. Any type of foam polish pad with meguiars 205 polish. Use a glaze before sealant & wax. See how much it lightens the scratch. Like someone else said, you may need to wet sand to really get them out.

    Dealership wants my V8, or . . .

I've had the same thing for a couple of my Toyota's I've owned. We're actually turning my wives Rav 4 lease in early because they're low on used car inventory. Of course, always read the fine print when it comes to a dealership.

So fed up with my 4Runner... Please help.

I can't imagine a 2.5/1.5 daystar spacer lift is causing the issues. Also, I doubt UPC are going to solve the issue. I originally ran the daystar kit with no issues for a year as have a bunch of other people on this forum. Any accident history on your vehicle? Before you installed the...

I would recommend taking a look at this Dobinson thread too. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/235263-dobinsons-suspension-4th-gen-options.html Mike's customer service has been great and he has answered a lot of guy's questions. It looks like they have a great product offering and...

Info help. Taco coilovers on my 4th gen.

Yeah, I got a pretty good deal on my setup so I ran with it. Definitely did the job to get 285s under my truck with minimal cutting. All in all, the setup isn't terrible. I don't expect it to ride like a Caddy, and its done fine for mild wheeling.

Info help. Taco coilovers on my 4th gen.

Agree with everyone else. I'm currently running the Tacoma setup in the front with the daystar 2.5 spacer and Moog FJ springs in the rear with the daystar 1.5. Simply put, it's as stiff as a pogo stick.

    Wheels, Tires, Lift questions/advice

I'd got with the Daystar 2.5/1.5. That is what I originally did when I put 265-70R17 tires on mine. Only thing I had to do was moved the fender liners forward because of minor rubbing. Also, if you are going with the Toyota TRD Pro wheels I'd throw a set of 1.25" Spidertrax wheels spacers on...

Here you are sir, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CN9D4E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am running the Moog rear FJ springs with the tacoma setup in the front. I also have the daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer kit. My combo leveled out the vehicle. I believe the Moog springs give...

    Mall crawler mod priorities

I'd run the same size spacers the whole way around. Not sure there is any benefit of running wider spacers in the rear.
