Might I suggest proper snow tires from Nokian's Hakkapeliitta & Nordman lines? I run the Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV's November through March and have never ever had to use the chains I carry. We have property in the Wallowa Valley in eastern Oregon and frequently drive from Portland to Enterprise...

There is just too much tech these days that is designed to simplify and/or enhance our vehicle experience that is unnecessary, and actually makes the day to day use experience worse IMHO...
