Buy what you can for as cheap as you can find it. These engines aren’t going anywhere. I’m using pennzoil currently as it is the cheapest available for me. Just be consistent.

You definitely know more than I do then. (No sarcasm). I had one experience where the service advisor said no. I wrote the owner of he dealership and explained the situation. Problem was solved the next day. It was super cool, and I try and use that dealership as often as I can. :))

The dealer has a lot of pull. But in the end you are correct. I keep my vehicles 99% stock for this reason. Just experience.
