seems you got a lot of speed going there, and those Lefty's still freak me out, but man it just seems like a dirt trail. Is there no obstacles to work?

bent the shit out of my crank/chain ring (stock one that came with the bike), and had to get a new crank installed....which also meant a new bottom bracket

I had an issue like this with my old Durango. It turned out the wiring harness that had been installed for the trailer hitch was shorting out. Sounds like somewhere you've got exposed wires that're shorting and you'll need to replace it.

This is the 650 (aka 27.5") tho ;) but yeah, been logging the miles on it, I think on the road I'll be locking out the shocks, but on the trails it has been handling pretty good. Went and logged another 10+ on the trails this Sunday and it handled really well.

Only a few miles on it so far, but I'm liking it a lot. For me it was a similar issue, I have a 26 and wanted to get a new bike. Everyone was touting the idea of going 29, and I just didn't wanna do it. I wanted to keep the smaller turn radius of the 26. The 650 offers the rolling capabilities...

yesterday I loaded up the new mountain bike on the new Thule bike rack, and hit some local trails to get out of the house

just picked up a Giant Talon 27.5 over the weekend. we installed a longer neck (130) because of how tall I am to help bring me down into a more comfortable riding position. have a Thule hitch mounted rack on the way right now. my 26" decided to take a bite out of the rear bumper this weekend...

yeah 40 seems to be about the top/bottom of a gear and I constantly feel the shifting when I'm driving. And a lot of the roads I travel on my daily commute are 40mph limits.

sometimes the girl working the counter doesn't know any better, but it's supposed to be based on the GVRW of the vehicle, and I've had truck plates come up cheaper than normal plates.
