You should be able to grab that tab with some needle nose and break it off. It's meant to be broken off after you install a helicoil.

If it's leaking out of the steering gear input shaft then you need to replace the oil seal and may as well do the o-ring.

I am not convinced it is the spring or the bucket. What if the valve and the valve guide are the problems? You may as well pull your timing belt and get the cams out, that will allow you to pull the bucket for inspection and then manually work the valve. Don't forget to lockout the...

You may be confusing available voltage with current. Its seems you have power but no ground thus no current.

Nice, did you luck up and the gauge just happened to be in the perfect position when tight? Or is the gauge able to be swiveled somehow?

You would be best served to get under the "green machine" and count them. Start from just behind the engine and follow the exhaust pipe to the end. They look like over-sized spark plugs with wires coming out of them, inserted directly into the pipe.

Did the engine ever run properly after the rebuild? Maybe take the belts off and take the plugs out and rotate the engine by the crank bolt and see how it feels. I would then be taking the timing covers off and verify timing. Sounds like it could be out of time.

I wonder how much cooling is done flowing through a hot tank of water really does. Almost seems like a warmer. I went with a non-trans cooler radiator and a stand-alone cooler.

Well that is the oil cooler. Is there a block-off plate where it should be? If not I guess you would run a single piece of hose to both coolant ports. Are there even ports for the coolant hoses to hook up?
