Hey guys, my steering rack was getting sloppy then recently it started to leak from the passenger side of the rack. I'm looking around for a new or rebuilt rack the OEM is too much $$ for my '97. I was looking at the Detroit Axle rebuilds cause I've heard OK things about them then I came across...

I went with a unit from Sonic Electronix, it came with the vehicle specific wiring harness, it's a Panasonic Blue Tooth, USB compatible, no CD, not sure of the model now but it came with the double DIN mounting box all in I think it was $125.00 shipped 2 years ago. couldn't be happier!!

Ok fellas before you all dog pile me about lift kits and big tires etc.... I'm just looking to keep my 4runner pretty much stock it's a '97 limited, I have no urge to lift it or do anything other than keep it the way it was designed. I really like the way some of you guys have modded your rigs...

Take it off and sell it on Craigslist, That'll finance a bug guard and some type of mounts for your lights...easy peasy!!!

Interesting mod, keep us posted are you using a donor signal stalk from another year or model?

Just try and do one line at a time, this way there should be a vacuum in the sytem to prevent the fluid flowing out. You'll lose a bit but when i installed my aftermarket cooler I think I only lost maybe half a liter total.
