Did you replace the thing thats labeled "oil seal" in that diagram? Mine was leaking, I changed that, and I haven't leaked a drop since. The part was about $5.

I let it take the day off, resting parked under the carport, probably the same tomorrow. It works hard all week, and is about to flip 250K.

That's not a bad deal. I lucked out and found a black one in a junk yard for $50. New from Toyota they were like $600 or something!

I just bought my '99 with 177k on it. My first 4Runner was a '91 with 130k on it when I got it. High mileage Toyotas dont scare me. Like already said, if well maintained, that truck has another 100k on it easy. My friend had 315k on his before he sold it.

I wouldn't let the mileage scare you. I bought my first 4runner (a '91) with 130k, and I just bought my second one (a '99) with 177k. I have a friend who bought an '88 (I think) with 295k! Yes, he bought it with that much on the clock. 115 on a Toyota is small time.
