    Tailgate Hates Me

How much of the Jim Beam were you able to recover, and what methods did you use?

    Tailgate Hates Me

I think that you may have identified the root of the problem. I have owned 4Runners for 3 generations now, and this one seems to be the best at tricking me. Thinking about it, this is the only one with the backup camera. It sees me coming and sets the trap for me. Looking back on things, I...

    Tailgate Hates Me

I have a lot of my stuff in gear bags and they handle most of it. But invariably something tips or falls out, and as soon as I crack open the gate, it squirts out the bottom.

    Tailgate Hates Me

I just find cargo nets to be a slightly different annoyance. I have one in the car and it tucks away nicely, but seems to get in the way a lot of the time.

    Tailgate Hates Me

It seems that all too often when I open the tailgate, things fall out. Doesn't seem to matter if it's parked downhill, uphill or on the level. Stuff falls out no matter how slowly I open it. Sometimes it small items, other times it's large, like a 3/4 ton truck caliper assembly today. One...

Vehicle Will Not Move When Placed In Drive

It could be that your brake pads are stuck to your rotors. I have had this happen to mine.

    2016 4Runner w/ 8400mi, Check Engine + TRAC Off

My 4R provided me with the same greeting today. Not the gas cap. I am scheduling the 30k service anyway and will have it checked then. I chased this same issue on my ten year old 04 and it was an O2 sensor. Now I have a 2016 and am seeing the same thing. From my view, this sucks. Looks...

Hows this under body look to you?

Underbody '04 The outside and interior of my '04 look great. Underneath is a different story. Pittsburgh winters are the main cause, I guess. Brackets are rusting apart, and the cat portion of the exhaust is leaking somewhere, and this will be a significant cost item, I'm guessing. Frame is...

    DIY A/C Recharge

A/C Recharge Here's one that I cannot believe. MY 04 V6 A/C quit working last summer and had the telltale leak on the garage floor. On a quick fix effort, I bought a can of refrigerant and charged the system. It lasted a while, then quit, total hot air. I did not try it all winter and...

    ***Cracked Dashboard Action Request***

Dash & AC Evaporator Has anyone successfully leveraged their dash replacement with an AC evaporator fix to get the cost down, since they are pulling the dash anyhow? My AC quit and has the tell tale leak. Recharge lasted only a few weeks. Either one of these fixes is over $1k. Thanks Sam

Under body touch up / rust

Wire wheel and Rust Mort - spray it on - lasts for years. Reforms rust and forms black finish - best I've used - Need to wear goggles. It has much more concentrated acid than other products, and you can tell.

repeat problem with defroster and rear wiper

Mine has stock electrics and just for giggles, I hooked up another battery to it today in parallel. No solution. Same problem.

Unlike any rear window problem i have read?

I was doing the cycling with the key and then inside switch with the car running. All of a sudden the window stopped and quit moving up. Then I did the drivers door window and then it would work with the key. Tried it again and it would stop and not move at all. If I turn the car on and off...

Unlike any rear window problem i have read?

I haven't fixed mine yet. How old is your battery? Also, I recently noticed that my rear window closes very sluggishly near the top. It may be something to do with the window close signal.
