Slightly old bump, but its most likely not your head gasket. Your heads have a crack in them. Usually near cylinder 3. Very common issue. Is it still holding up though?

So been having extended crank times for a while now when the truck is warm. Ice cold starts it fires right up no problem. If you park and go to start it after an hour or so, it has extended crank, I was thinking a leaky injector? Already has new fuel pump and filter, but anyways that's beside...

I replaced mine two years ago, but think I might readjust and make sure the torque is spot on. I don't remember being exactly precise last time, was more of a trial and error thing. But going to go by the FSM this time.

Wow, what a massive difference this made. Lifted 3rd gen now feels and handles like a stock 4Runner again....enjoyment of driving just went way up. Anyone considering this, just get it done!

Thanks I recently did all new bushings on the rear, as well as new shocks and tires too. Can't wait to get this bracket installed tomorrow to see the difference.

Just ordered for 3rd gen. For some reason, on our old 3rd gen with the same lift the drivability wasn't nearly this bad, hoping this makes a big difference. Have that body wobble and just doesn't feel planted. Just got new tires and shocks installed so will probably get a fresh alignment...

These past few weeks I have noticed a new sound / feel through the floor. Can really start to notice around 30 mph, its almost like a 'whomping' or like when a wheel bearing goes bad, however I had them both replaced last year. Sound doesn't really change when going left to right on the highway...

I am stumped. Starting the truck when its 5 degrees outside (F) it fires up immediately. If we drive it around, get it fully up to temp, etc, come back in an hour or two when its still warm and it will just crank....takes 2-3 tries and then you even need to give it some gas to help it fully...
