Original tranny fluid at 205k miles: would you change it?

2005, 4.0, 298k. Just did my in drain and fill and then I exchanged all the fluid using the cooler line up front, but I filled at the drain plug with a funnel and a long clear tube, looking down on the passenger side along the exhaust into the fill plug, plastic spring clipped the tube to the...

    ecu water damage

Start with the simple clean your battery contacts and your ground contacts, I really don't see where your computer has a problem yet...may also be the battery, charge it. I'm gonna suggest then the starter and the solenoid contacts. Once you've established that they are working or not working...

Easy Peasy transmission fluid exchange V6

Just to be clear on this the 'return line' is the one at the top of the radiator? I did this on my 2010 Sienna and one fella had a YouTube video that was so easy to follow because it's right at the top of the radiator. My thought is do the initial drain and fill, then the flush through the...

    Broken electrical plug.

Actually with the type de-pinning tool I have, for the spark plug connectors, it didn't work very well so I would recommend trying to figure out something that would work best that you have available and make that work. I have a set of large reverse tweezers that I am going to try to use next...

    Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

Congratulations on the 804 K I would change the filter in the transmission 'cause maybe that is what is starting to clog up and slow you down and I would go ahead and just exchange all the fluid after you change that because you can do a fairly simple easy fluid exchange.

Looking for video of master cylinder flush

I once seen someone suggest one way bleeders work for the rear, I bought a set and put in my glove compartment but never went to use them yet. Gravity flow worked for the front.

    Transmission flush or drain?

Your transmission is a hydraulic machine and it works best with clean fluid. A video on the 2009 Sienna at 5:44, that shows the gentleman pumping out from the radiator exit, the other side of the line put it in an empty jug. The other side of the line is where you'd pour in your clean fluid in...

Need some quick purchase advise please!

    2. 2007 Gold SR5, 1 owner, 112k miles, condition isn't quite as nice as the other 2007, but it's still nice. $9500, no service records on hand. OK I'm gonna pick this one because even though he doesn't have service record on hand he seems to be the 'one owner' and he could probably tell you if...

04 v6 Car inspection set vsc light

one thing you can try is to put a Brake Light Stoplamp Switch in, 84340-47020 that should be the OEM part number and then you could go look for the Part on Amazon, eBay, Nearby parts store. That's what was wrong with mine kept the lights on with the brake light switch was replaced in the lights...

Is the oil dipstick on the 2007 v8 sealed or am I just blind?

And from the Sienna world, there is a vent tube where the dipstick would be. https://www.siennachat.com/forum/154697-post25.html Now what I am thinking is there still a place in the casting for the transmission that would allow for a dipstick and tube to be placed, kind of a retro fitting if...

    New (to me) 2007 4Runner!!!

One other thing to be aware of, stretched timing chain, actually this video made me feel better if I ever had to do the head gasket, I've got the 2005 4Runner 4.0L with 297K. I plan to have it forever, minimal surface rust and I won't drive it for winter. -Episode 5- Replacing a stretched...
