awesome thread. was looking to buy a 4runner, and oil change procedure was a big question for me. Thanks for the sharp information.

NYRunner: good observation. I would have thought that the new engine would give better gains on the new 4Runner, considering the EPA rating of +2mpg HWY compared to the single VVTI. Still, it is pretty good, getting approx the same mileage as Tacomas, considering that Tacoma's are 600 LBS less.

at what speed were you cruising on HWY to do that kind of mileage?
