Thanks, I'll start there and see what I turn up. I need to pull the climate control and send that off the guy on eBay that repairs them anyway so I'll pull the radio then too.

Search turned up nothing... Has anybody else had this problem? My radio hums whenever I turn on the lights. The volume of the hum is independent of the radio volume, in order words it stays the same whether the volume is high or low. It is the stock cd/tape double din sized radio. Thanks! -Ryan

I'm pretty sure the manual for my 2000 says you can only shift between 4H and 4L if you have a manual transmission and depress the clutch. My 4Runner is an auto so I always stop and shift to neutral, but I used to go between high and low in my old 5 speed Rodeo with the clutch and never had issues.
