Answered my own question (I think)(yes, I'm a noob). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the second/shorter hose is a "Ventilation hose". I dug around on parts.toyota.com and found the diagram. Now its just a matter of not overpaying for them I guess.

Did any of yall have a rattle around the shield from cutting 1 of the 4 bolt holes out? I'm about to replace mine because the old ones have rusted out and pieces are falling off and occasionally grinding when I'm driving. The shop said it wasn't a big deal but I'd rather replace them.
