A quick measurement would give me a better idea. From the 4th gen to 5th gen plate that mount points were around 4 inches shorter. I am not sure if that is due to the generation change, or if that is a V8 to V6 change. Essentially I would need a measurement from where the front cross member...

I missed this, yes you are correct. Also, I am debating if it is the angle of the photo, or if your cross member is forward of the one on the 4 runner I designed this on.

Personally, if it was me and I was working on my truck, I would just replace both. Sure, the passenger one might be fine for a while... but if it goes out just after the brake job you are probably replacing the pads and rotor on that side again.

Interesting... I just made a set of skid plates for a V8 4Runner. I made sure to put some vent holes by the cats to help decrease heat build up. It seems I can’t upload photos from my phone though....
