Nope .. ran out in between the weather stripping (be careful opening and closing the rear door because of it though) and up and out in between the backdoor and the exterior body. There is a little gap in between the door and the car to allow it to float in between and out. Hope that all makes...

I bought basically the same lights from Loews. I have two strands and haven't had any issues. Love having the on/off switch already stock. They're pretty bright at night too.
