I am not an expert by any means, but I'm under the impression that when adding a spacer on top of the strut assembly and squeezing it back in the coil is being compressed more than it's stock configuration causing more preload and a stiffer ride.
Thanks for the picture and response. Those are 285 70r17? I bought my TRD Pro used. The previous owner added what I believe is a Pro Comp 3" Front/ 2" Rear spacer lift with 285 70r17 KO2s. It looks great but I think it rides/handles like crap so I'm considering removing it. If I can get away...
I've skimmed 90% of this thread and this is the first time I've seen that 285's will fit the TRD Pro without a lift of some sort. Do you have pictures of your 285KO2s with now lift?
