    TCMach's Build Thread

Honestly not much has been going on. New bumper went on, thought I posted that. Other than that I bought a house in 2020 and have just been working on that. This truck will be for sale here in a month or so. Going to end up doing a mild build on the wife's 5th gen. Untitled by Tyler Carvell, on...

34x10.5R17 KO2s: tall tires, minimal work

Any front or back shots? I'd like to see the profile on the vehicle. I like a skinny tire it just isn't to be on my 4Runner. Also not many skinny 37s. My 80s plow truck runs 235/85 which are basically a 32 x 9.25 and they rock on that thing. Look real good too. EDIT: I guess you kinda posted a...

**Rear Coil Spring Discussion - The Perfect 3rd Gen Rear Spring**

FWIW in my search for a shorter coil I got this from Dobinson. C59-137V - 170lbs open -245lbs ride height - 331lbs collapsed - 420mm FH. The 70 mm difference in free height from an 861 or superflex might be an issue.

**Rear Coil Spring Discussion - The Perfect 3rd Gen Rear Spring**

I need a 1" lift coil that holds weight like an 861 and has enough free height not to fall out.....

    ARB locker knockoff... Temping.

If its a google review I like to look at their other reviews and then see what I think about them. Usually 1 star reviewers have a history of being a sad sack. Also FWIW my front ARB has never leaked. Fingers crossed. Almost 2 years in now.

    ARB locker knockoff... Temping.

There are problems with all of them. Elockers get stuck locked, electrical connectors go bad or get corroded. ARBs can leak. Mechanicals can lock up when you really don't want them too. Pick your poison really. Most failure proof? Probably an elocker with a chilkat cable. I dunno

    LS1 swap?

Meh. Price was right on the LQ9 lol. Came attached to a relatively flat escalade too. IMHO I'd spend the money on a built harness and run stock gauges. Just like the idea of leaving that part stock. Don't get me wrong, racepaks are great, set one up in a F100 years ago. They're great guys for...

    LS1 swap?

FYI Tweak'd Performance can do the harness. I've already discussed it with them. I was looking at an LQ9 that was local to me at the time. 4L60 variant trans. Flipped Dana 300 or an old ford 205 if I could find one.

    Gift for my son

I'd rip on you for getting a 2wd but honestly this is pretty awesome. Question is did you rope him in when you did all the suspension work or was that part of the surprise?

Fuel Tank Relocation (and new Rear Bumper design)

Honestly not much. Toytec boss shocks, 861s, extended bump stops. Its all pretty standard. Rear pinch welds are trimmed on the front and rear of the wheel well. If you keep you backspacing down (4.25-4.5") you'll tuck it inside the top lip of the body with minor massaging necessary. It does mean...
