With the new straight UCA bolt and the JBA control arms (and an alignment) she is driving straight as an arrow, my Caster is at 4º and everything else is perfectly aligned. Worth the pain.

You have to remember that when you add a spacer (or a wheel with a lower offset), you are extending the radius of the wheel rotation. So even though the max angles are the same, the edges of the tires rotate further forward and backward, which is one reason more rubbing can occur.

I don't disagree. I think it would look better if it had bumper and sliders. I think you are right that 265/70R17 is the sweet spot until you do more modifications.
