5th gen 4runner build for road tripping?

We purchased our 5th 4Runner (owned every Gen but 1st) for the multi use the rigs offer. We travel mainly in the south and west chasing crags to climb and mountains to hike and explore. I'm also in the early stages of building and have added a BajaRack, ARB awning, Blue Ridge visor, etc. I...

Thought I'd test the net. Works as advertised. Very happy with the materials and construction. I'll be doing biz with Raingler Nets for other products. Thanks jicko.

    Bajarack UT Flat experience?

Here ya go. There is a flexible rubber type foam gasket that is affixed to the bracket that rests on the roof - as shown in the pics. When you torque down the bolts that piece compresses. IMO it's a nice solid fit with no metal in contact with paint. Lot of good choices out there for racks...

    Bajarack UT Flat experience?

Correct on feet on resting on the rain gutter molding. You do have a little bit of adjustment on the front - so you can have a half an inch or so of separation between the fairing and the roof. Check out the closeup of the pic and you can see the way the bolts line up. You can lower or raise the...

    Bajarack UT Flat experience?

Love the rack. Quality build. Good customer service. Ordered and delivered in less than three weeks. The powder coat seems well done. The front feet sit right on the roof rack molding. Tried to enlarge a pic I took in the fall of the front feet. The other pic is just hamming it up while...

Thanks. I really like it. We do a lot of climbing trips so works great for hauling addl gear. Also wanted the flat rack due to clearance issues. Installing a mild lift next month and once lifted it will be a tight fit with our garage. It's a BajaRack. High quality and fantastic customer service.

3200 miles on the clock. Next up 2.5 inch lift. Still trying to decide between OME or 5100's with ToyTec up front and SAW in back. Also plan on Budbuilt sliders and awning for the rack early spring. My fifth 4Runner. First one purchased new. Owned 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen (2009 TE) and loved em all!

    5100 + stock coils or OME 884

I'm thinking of doing something similar. I just purchased a '15 TE and installed a flat BajaRack and 275 K02's. I spoke to Scott at ToyTec yesterday and told him what my driving conditions would be - mainly gravel, some trails to get to our rock climbing locations and also as a daily driver...

    BajaRack for TE w/o sunroof.

Everything but lifting the rack on the truck. I didn't want to take any chances in something going wrong - like dropping the rack or worse - had my son who is 6'2" help out. Really an easy install.

It's been a bit wintry in the Midwest so a bit of a delay in posting:
