Another Update T4R is still running strong. Just did the timing belt, tinted the windows, replaced the saggy rear springs with moog's, and put new tyres on. Getting ready to hit some trails this summer. Thanks for all the help on this site!!! Still loving this truck

... an update Well... had the t4r for just over 6 months. In that time I have had to put 2 mufflers on it (the first shop effed it up pretty bad), replaced the idler pully, and replace the transmission with a junkyard trans. The original trans developed a crack in the case!! My mechanic buddy...

My probe is right next to the top radiator hose. My fan doesn't come on until the temp is around 215 or so. Mine is also on an adjustable controller so I can make it colder or hotter.

Looks good. Thats similar to what I used to control the dual fans on my Olds. On the 4runner I got lazy and used the Flex-A-Lite kit. Which is pretty nice. I had a couple issues with it, but nothing major. It uses the same kind of probe and relay setup.

We have had good luck with Toyotas in the past. I found a nice Safari rack, but they are re****ed expensive. I might try to find a factory one in a junkyard.

It depends on the climate you are in and whether or not you are going to be doing a lot of low speed driving or towing. If you are somewhere that rarely gets over 80 degrees it is probably no big deal. If you are somewhere where it routinely gets above 100 degrees and will be sitting in traffic...

Looks like an "Exhaust Filter" The only claim that might be true is lessened carbon emissions, but that is ONLY due to the accumulation in the filter. The only mileage and power gains would be the result of your wallet being slightly lighter.
