So, I'll be replacing my front door speakers shortly with another component set and I was wondering how the crossover duty is handled with the stock JBL stuff. Is there simply a speak lead that comes into the doors I can run to my new components included crossover or are there 2 separate leads...
I may do that as well. I have to see when it was done if at all. I also have an exhaust leak tick, but that's separate from what I've been hearing recently.
I'm intermittently hearing a knocking sound from the front on a cold start while in reverse. I do not hear it in park, neutral, or drive. I do not hear it when warmed up. Thoughts?
Ha! I have a leak in the same spot. Haven't figured out what is yet. I'm assuming a trans cooler line. Hopefully I'll have one of my techs take a peek today.
Ask them to provide dealer records on all the maintenance and see if you can take it for your own inspection. If all looks good then start negotiating. At that price even if you have to do a timing belt it's worth it.
V6 vs V8 MPG is negligible in my opinion when you factor in the fact that the V8 is AWD and the V6 is 4WD. As far reliability other than maintenance you need to watch out for V6 head gaskets on 03-05 and the timing belt on the V8 should be done around 90. Otherwise both are bulletproof.
Yeah, I happen to now because I had a customer who's seat back was damaged and would not stay mounted, so I had a good view of it off the seat. That just seems like an inconvenient location for a high-lift if you're loaded up.
